The connector lives on the bottom right corner — that’s where the removable electronics plug in. Under the connector’s black plastic is a red film shielding a thick, double-sided adhesive. Peel it and press firmly: this piece must never come loose. Apply on a clean, dry, sticker-free surface for the best grip.
When putting your laptop in a backpack, mind the connector so it doesn’t snag. Connect and remove the electronics with two hands — one holding the Stickerlight’s connector — to keep stress off the adhesive. If the adhesive ever fails, re-stick it or contact us about repair options.
The electronics have a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts a few hours. Leave them plugged in via USB during use and fully charge before a performance. To charge: switch the electronics off, plug in the included USB cable, and wait until the indicator LED turns off — that means a full charge.
Six modes on one button. The first mode when you turn it on is sound-activated, with an adjustable sensitivity dial to match your room’s volume. The rest: steady on, blinking, one section at a time, and two progressive modes.
If your Stickerlight lights up the wrong way, unplug the cable from the electronics, rotate it 180 degrees and plug it back in. That’s it.
On a MacBook, use it with a case so it stays removable. The black background won’t cover 100% of the lid, and a black case hides the edge. For a lighted Apple logo, add black tape underneath (inside the case, if you use one) to block the glow.
Once stuck down, a Stickerlight isn’t designed to be reused — removing it will most likely damage it. If you change laptops, grab an additional unit so you always have a spare.
